Drop-in Stick Curling Program

The Drop-in Stick Curling Program operates in the following manner:

  • Sign-up: Participants register for the upcoming Wednesday session using an online portal.
  • Arrival: When you arrive at the club, please check in at the front desk. If you’re paying per game, you’ll handle that at this time.
  • Team & Sheet Assignments: At 12:50 PM, we’ll shuffle and distribute a deck of cards (Ace through 6). Your card determines your team and sheet for the day:
    • The number corresponds to your sheet number (Ace = Sheet 1, 2 = Sheet 2, etc.).
    • The color determines your partner (reds—hearts and diamonds—are teammates, and blacks—spades and clubs—are teammates).
  • Game Play: You’ll play two 6-end games. To keep things interesting, the winning team of the first game moves to the sheet on their right to play the second game, while the losing team stays put.

This drop-in stick curling program is a great chance to socialize, meet new people, and enjoy the sport of curling every week!

The Sutherland Curling Club is provides 2 options for those interested in participating in the Wednesday Drop-In Stick Curling Program:

  1. Full Season Participant
  2. Per Game Participant

The drop-in stick curling league utilises an online portal where players must submit their their attendance. Full season participants will be emailed Fridays when they are able to check-in.

Any remaining spots will be shown below on Monday afternoons. Those who have given their email to the club and are NOT full-season participants will also be emailed to let them know there are open spots.

The benefit for registering as a Full Season Participant spot includes a reduced rate (25% off if you attend the whole season) and advanced check-in privileges (able to check in 4 days earlier than per game participants).

The drop-in stick curling program includes up to 23 weeks:

The Price for a Full Season Participant is $172.58 (includes all taxes). – 3 Spots left! (as of Sept 12th, 2025)

FULL SEASON PARTICIPANT REGISTRATION

The Price for a Per Game Participant is $10/game (includes all taxes) – pay when you arrive.

The weekly check-in for per game participants will display below on Mondays afternoon at 1:00 p.m. and close on Wednesdays at 12:30 p.m.
